I am planning on printing color on this composition, but it might take me a bit to get around to it. The black and white isn't bad so I thought I would post it now and then post the color version in the next few days. (I hope).

Red-Breasted Nuthatch #2 (Collagraph of Female Bird)

One of my customers commissioned me to do a collagraph of this funny little bird.  I think I have only seen white-breasted nuthatches here in Missouri and had figured that one day I would do a collagraph of one of those guys hanging upside down on a tree (which still may happen).  But for now here's my version of the red-breasted female.

Whenever I need to adjust the pressure on my press I run a test.  I have been looking at this photo my sister posted recently for quite some time and thought I would try to do something with it. What a nice change from those crazy collagraphs I have been working on.

It's definitely quite a mix of work.  I hope this motivates
