Well it has taken me a while, but here are the "bullies" of the bird kingdom. I am going to try and mock this up with some color in the background.  If I come up with something I like I will post another version sometime in the near future.

Red-Breasted Nuthatch #2 (Collagraph of Female Bird)

One of my customers commissioned me to do a collagraph of this funny little bird.  I think I have only seen white-breasted nuthatches here in Missouri and had figured that one day I would do a collagraph of one of those guys hanging upside down on a tree (which still may happen).  But for now here's my version of the red-breasted female.

I planned on adding color to this print, but kind of liked it just as it is. 

 I'm trying out some new textures I have acquired.  

A color version will be coming in the next couple of days.

Rose-Breasted Grosbeak (Collagraph of Male Songbird)

We used to have a pair of grosbeaks that came through every Spring. Unfortunately we haven't seen them in a couple of years. This is the latest addition to my bird collagraphs. I will probably do a version with a colored background in the near future so check back soon.
