Wise Guy on Teal #4 (Collagraph of Owl)

Several years ago I did a print called "Wise Guys" which had three of these funny creatures staring at you. It was sort of a joke to give to my father whom seems to come up with a pun in just about every situation. It turned out that many people liked the wise guys so I thought I would do a smaller version featuring one of the group.

Bearded Dragon

Vaska #3 (Collagraph of Cat)

This crazy cat, that looks so serious, came with the house. I call him Vaska because my neighbor and dear friend Chester called him that. Vaska kind of mooched a little from quite a few neighbors, but he ended up living with us. Unfortunately several years ago he decided to stand his ground against a coyote and you can guess who won.

I mixed a little bit of burnt sienna with the black ink to give the print a warmer feel.

This collagraph can be dropped into an 11" x 14" mat with an 8" x 10" window and framed in a standard 11" x 14" frame.

Following Prints Moved From Painting Blog

The following collagraphs and monotypes were posted previously on my other blog. I thought it would be easier to follow one blog, but I think that my prints and paintings can be so different that it is probably best to separate them. However, I did not move all the monotypes that I did early on. Most are landscapes or seascapes and were posted in March and April 2009 on my other blog.
