Dragonfly 1 & 3 - Hand Pulled Collagraphs

I decided to modify the background of these dragonflies.
I thought the texture was a bit too much so it is now
subdued and the background color definitely makes
the dragonfly pop.

King of Spring (Hand-Pulled Collagraph of an American Robin)

I couldn't resist doing something with this pose which

reminded me of the Cardinal I did late last year.

Background color seems to be off a little.

I may have to try shooting with my camera

to see if the color is closer to the original

(which is a little bit greener than I see here).

I created several variations of this guy for a client.

Charlie is a yellow lab so #8 definitely looks more

like him, but I do like the black version.

I kind of killed myself to get these done in time

to submit to a competition.

Above are the first two versions of this crow.

I have at least one more in the works.

Blue Crab on Yellow #1 (Original Collagraph of Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab)

Here's the color version. I tried not to go too crazy with color.

I printed the color on the background and hand painted the crab.

Cornell Lab of Ornithology was seeking photos and artwork for their "Flights of Fancy" Challenge.  This is what I came up with.  The image size is 12" x 17.5" and is printed on Arches Cover White Paper.
